After earning his law degree from Wake Forest, James Steele practiced law in North Carolina and New York prior to starting the firm in 2012. His areas of focus are business formation, deeds & easements, Landlord-Tenant Law, land partition suits, Estate Planning (Wills & Trusts), and Probate & Estate Administration. James moved to New Zealand in 2021, and in 2026 moved away from the firm's day-to-day activities to work full time practicing law there in NZ.
